Responsible Corporate Practices: Insights from Konstantinos Mantzaris

Book Review: Business Ethics and Rational Corporate Policies by Konstantinos Mantzaris

As someone who has always been interested in business ethics, I was excited to dive into Konstantinos Mantzaris’ latest book, “Business Ethics and Rational Corporate Policies.” And I must say, it did not disappoint.

From the very beginning, Mantzaris lays out a clear and concise argument for why businesses must prioritize ethics in their decision-making processes. He provides numerous examples of companies that have failed to do so and suffered the consequences, as well as those that have succeeded by prioritizing ethical values.

What really stood out to me about this book was Mantzaris’ approach to the subject matter. He doesn’t simply list off a bunch of rules for businesses to follow; instead, he encourages readers to consider the underlying moral principles behind these rules. This approach forces readers to engage with the material on a deeper level and really think about what it means to act ethically in a corporate setting.

Of course, no book is perfect. One criticism I would make is that at times Mantzaris can be a bit dry in his writing style. While his arguments are always clear and well-supported, there were moments where I found myself wishing for a bit more personality or flair.

Still, overall I would highly recommend “Business Ethics and Rational Corporate Policies” to anyone interested in this important topic. It’s a thought-provoking read that will leave you with plenty of ideas for how businesses can better align their practices with ethical values.
